Chrisitan Lacroix SNC, the firm behind the famous fashion brand which announced that it was filing for bankrupcy on May, 29, just revealed today that its vows to fight to stay alive have partially brought some positive outcome : it has creditors backing for 6 months. Time to find a buyer for the fashion house renown for selling extremely expansive haute couture or houte couture-like prêt-à-porter, in all the sense of the term...
The theory on the demise of Christian Lacroix, whose talents were exploited mostly in cinema and name made in television, notably thanks to being the favorite couturier of Edina and Patsy from Absolutely Fabulous, is that such over-priced exuberence doesn't go down well in recession times when even the most fortunates are feeling the heat and would rather cut down on the exentric garnments buys to focus on the wearable ones, which Lacroix hardly produces.

Meanwhile, passionate fans of the French fashion label, creator of the signature "pouf" dress all over the world are sending their support to Christian Lacroix and fearing the worst despite this receivership news.
